The staff greeted us quickly and gave us a tour of the place at check in.
The room was clean and perfect for our needs.
The catfish at dinner was cooked perfect.
The breakfast was excellent and we never ran out of the essentials.
We saw the Northern Lights over the hotel that evening.
I'd stay here again for sure.
Thank you for you hospitality!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our host Thorey is very friendly and responsive. Great hospitality with spacious room. Good breakfast selections too. We would definitely stay here again next time!

Not a lot of choices in this area and it appeared to be in the middle of no where so we were happy to see a place to rest at the end of the day. The facility is definitely older, the glass in our window was cracked, and the room only had a portable heater. Saying that it was manageable for one night, the food was okay, and the staff was friendly.
Stayed one night here in July 2025. Had dinner in the restaurant. Menu is not long but food tastes good. Room is clean. Breakfast buffet choice is bit limited compared to other hotels’ in Iceland.
I had some issues with my car while at the property and the staff here were ready to jump in and help. Breakfast was also very lovely. Would 100% come back in the future.

Do not recommend for that price and condition
Pros: beautiful surroundings, close to canyon, friendly staff, good food, comfy beds
Cons: room was like a prefab shelter in poor condition, toilet leaking, insufficient heating, price was like a 4* in Tokyo or NY. I get it that we’re paying for the location and not for quality or comfort, but this felt like a bit too overpriced. It was the worst stay we had in Iceland, and in the top 3 of the priciest I ever paid.
One of the best family run hotels ever. The owner was so friendly and helpful. We are vegetarian and he went out of his way to prepare delicious food. Also hot up early just to prepare coffee and breakfast since we had to leave very early. Amazing service
Had a really nice dinner. Breakfast was a bit boring. Cold pancakes and the cheese was a bit plastic. Eggs so over cooked they were black inside.
And the usual really really bad coffee that all hotels in Iceland seems to serve. Really a shame.
Not much around the property but convenient if you are visiting Studlagil. Very nice staff!

Perfect stop as you head around the ring road. Staff are wonderful! Quaint hotel that is very clean and remodeled. Food was wonderful in the restaurant. Loved it!
Immaculate, beautiful guesthouse with plenty of space and modern well maintained facilities. The host that greeted us was very nice, kind and helpful. Shower and beds were amazing. Breakfast was delicious as well. Wonderful location off the ring road. Would most definitely stay here again.
