For the price, you would think there would be compromises to the quality, but no - this hotel appears to be updated throughout. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast did not include hot-cooked selections such as eggs/bacon/potatoes, etc. but was certainly adequate with lots of pastries, breads, cereals, yogurt, fruit.... but let's be real, the waffle maker is all some of us need and they do have that too! My only complaint was the coffee, it was awful. It was fresh brewed but tasted like their coffee beans are wicked stale. AND artificial non-dairy creamer, terrible! If they could improve the coffee service, it would make for a very pleasant stay. Definitely a nice stay at a very low price.

The only problem that we had with the room was that the refrigerator needed to be cleaned. The gentleman at the front desk came and took care of that for us. Overall, a clean room and a comfortable bed at a low price.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Comfy bed, good pillows. The property is showing its age a bit though. It could use a freshening. The staff was friendly, and the continental breakfast was pretty good. Bagels, waffles, yogurt, and the like were offered.

Did not get up in time for breakfast, the staff was courteous and friendly and kept coffee stocked 24-7. Linens were clean, bathroom was very clean and well stocked with supplies and the beds were comfortable, a little high off the ground for handicap people. It is just an older facility in need of some repairs but we would definitely stay there again.

Staff was wonderful and helpful and you can tell they are trying. Unfortunately 1st night room must have been a former smoking room bc it was such a strong smell. We were thankful to be moved to a true non-smoking room. Breakfast well definitely nothing to write home about. No amenities. It worked for a track meet since everything else was sold out closer to Charleston, but definitely wouldn't stay there again.

Needed to request a change from my first floor room upon arrival as it had a terrible musty odor. Front desk was understanding and moved me to second floor which was brighter and fresher.
