Rooms are clean, external and internal building clean, staff awesome, the man at the front desk morning shift super guy. Breakfast options good, best so far among the budget hotels have being to. Parking, sufficient spaces even for large commercial trucks and there is Petro behind the hotel and a restaurant right beside.

Baymont Effingham is quiet and clean, and offers everything a guest would need when stopping overnight during a long drive. The beds are comfortable, AC is cold, and the water is hot with good shower pressure. The hotel offers a complete hot breakfast, not just the pastries some places have! Coffee is pretty good, too! There is no elevator, though, so you have to carry your bags upstairs. I will stay there again.

Recently remodeled/maybe some still going on? Absolutely wonderful property, easily handicap accessible. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was above and beyond expectations. We would definitely stay again but would hope for a softer bed! Our only complaint!

Very near the highway so traffic noise was a bit of an issue for the rural folk in our party, but not the rest. Late check in was nice. Restaurant next door stops food service at 10:45pm and we just missed it but they did what they could to accommodate. Breakfast is fine, usual, but dining area is small.

Right off the highway. If traffic noise bothers you, ask for a room not on traffic side. Very clean, well maintained, helpful staff, decent breakfast. Economical and a good choice for an overnight break.

While the room was showing its age a bit, it was exceptionally clean and we found the bed to be comfortable. What was outstanding however was the help from Makenzi at the front desk. Initially, we had a bit of trouble locating our lodging. A call, which Makenzi answered, solved the issue. After determining exactly where we were, she navigated us to her location with no further issues. She greeted us with such enthusiasm one would have thought we were old lost friends. To her boss: SHE MADE A GOOD FIRST IMPRESSION!!! You have a good employee here. Bill & Barbara B.

The affordable Baymont was in a convenient location, although finding the unmarked entrance driveway was a challenge. The staff were all friendly and helpful, The room and bathroom were tidy and comfortable, AC was cold, and the water was hot with good pressure. Even in proximity to the highway and truck stop, the room was quiet all night. The fitness room left a bit to be desired, though; an elliptical machine might be more useful to guests than the weight bench. There were lots of restaurant options in close (not walkable) proximity, and the morning breakfast buffet was excellent. If you don't do stairs, be sure to request a (1st floor) accessible room as there is no elevator to the 2nd level.
