Excellent stay. Room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Breakfast was continental and perfectly presented. The evening meal was the biggest helping of fish and chips I have ever had.

Liked: Staff & service
Great location for what we wanted in a lovely village , staff and locals very friendly, Hotel a bit tired but was exactly as expected, Steak and ale pie delicious,
Great location for the job i was on, everything i needed and very well priced compared with others around the area, On street parking right outside hotel and never felt worried about leaving van on the street, food was excellent and a local shop within walking distance definitely will return when back in the area
Really lovely staff helped to create a warm atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable and the continental breakfast excellent.
Would definitely satay again.
It was really lovely place to stay. It had everything you need, bed was very comfortable and the towels were great. The people were really polite and friendly. There was a good choice on the menu, tasted great and was very reasonably priced.
Nice wee place but nothing in it.
1 shop.
Food was great. I can recomend the fish & chips.
I liked the fact it still had the old style street lights instead of the led ones. Very nostalgic.
I was through for work, staying two nights. I booked a single ensuite room. It was basic but comfortable. I ate dinner in the hotel the first night which was tasty and reasonably priced; breakfast both days were continental and had a good range of options. Service was friendly.
The rooms were very comfortable & clean. The bar is a traditional bar & very good. Food simple & just ok, service ok but seem understaffed. There is a really nice big restaurant that they don’t use which is such a shame as it’s so nice. The village is very nice. Would definitely stay again but probably eat somewhere else
The staff were so friendly and accommodating, from my phone call to let them know that I might not arrive until 10pm to the welcome I received when I managed to be a bit earlier. The locals were very friendly showing how popular the bar was! The bed was comfortable and breakfast (continental) had a wide range of choices. If ever I come this way again I would stay here again.
Lovely, old pub/hotel with lots of character. Food options, evening meal and continental breakfast, had plenty of options and all good quality. Only staying 1 night we couldn't do much but did have a walk round the local area which was peaceful and quiet
Location fantastic staff fantastic
Hotel itself was overall nice inside was keeping with the age of the property lots of quircky things
Rooms mmm need a we freshing up silly little things like broken fan rips in curtains but apart from that fantastic
