Definitely in a quieter area of Edinburgh. Only a couple of blocks from st Andrew’s square. Definitely still walking distance to Waverly station. Staff were helpful. Room was very warm at night they provide a fan which was helpful. Bar area and lounge nice to sit in the evening and have a beverage. Breakfast was good.

This is an old-fashioned but charming place to stay. It is well located for a quick walk to the sights, and close to bus stops. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a comfortable bar. Our room was spotless and spacious (room 8), with a great view to the Firth of Forth. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of excellent quality. We definitely recommend this accommodation.

The room was quiet, clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large, impeccably clean, with a separate tub and shower and enormous, warm bath towels. There was a foyer with a door that prevented any noise from the hall getting through to the room. The breakfast and breakfast service was first rate. The front desk was friendly and very helpful.
