Charming, well located, lovely property. Large enough room with comfortable bed. Restaurant was great. Very nice meals!! Would
Highly recommend the Royal Scots Club.
Definitely in a quieter area of Edinburgh. Only a couple of blocks from st Andrew’s square. Definitely still walking distance to Waverly station.
Staff were helpful.
Room was very warm at night they provide a fan which was helpful.
Bar area and lounge nice to sit in the evening and have a beverage.
Breakfast was good.
Clean, quiet, comfortable room. Friendly and very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Close enough to tram, restaurants ans shopping, but still far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. First time in Scotland and this was the perfect place to stay! Highly recommend!
Great location, 20 minute walk to Edinburgh Castle, 25 minute walk to Holyrood Palace, 15 minute walk to Royal Botanic Garden. Excellent breakfast, no need for lunch. Highly recommend.
Well located just short walk from Waverley Station, and close to many restaurants and the shops of Princes Street. A quiet , cosy room, excellent dinner and breakfast, and a comfortable bar with lounge area. Old-fashioned in a very good way.
This is an old-fashioned but charming place to stay. It is well located for a quick walk to the sights, and close to bus stops. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a comfortable bar. Our room was spotless and spacious (room 8), with a great view to the Firth of Forth. The bed was comfortable and the linens were of excellent quality. We definitely recommend this accommodation.
They are renovating some rooms but the place was excellent the food, the staff, and above all the location is perfect for walking to all major sites in the city. Also very close to public transportation. Highly recommend.
The room was quiet, clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large, impeccably clean, with a separate tub and shower and enormous, warm bath towels. There was a foyer with a door that prevented any noise from the hall getting through to the room. The breakfast and breakfast service was first rate. The front desk was friendly and very helpful.
This is a wonderful place, a bit old fashioned but harks back to the older age of comfort and quality.
The room was comfortable, spacious and meticulous prepared. The staff were impeccable and the location is just a couple blocks back from Princess Street with good local restaurants, bars, shopping and sightseeing not far away.
Recommended.
Definitely a place to comp
A wonderful regal hotel steeped in history. Clean, warm and very helpful friendly staff.
A very relaxing atmosphere in the evening whilst employing the use of the bar.
