We stayed at the Place for one night. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and had a lovely large room on the first floor. The hotel does not have a lift so stairs to the third floor may have been a little taxing for mid 70s. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. A bit of a disturbed night due to traffic noise but all in all a good experience

Felt like i was in a basement , and staff TWO times at 8am to wake me up and hotel did nothing to remediate this at all. Doesn't make a single person feel safe especially with do not disturb on door. Coincident or not, i got bit and was itchy my whole stay. So g l ad i could check out. came in my room for no reason

It is a great location for exploring Edinburgh. Within walking distance of shops pubs and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would return.

Loved my stay at this hotel in Edinburgh. The room was nice and spacious. They were very kind and kept our luggage until our room was ready. The staff were very friendly.
