Great B&B. We were in Town for a Concert. Bed was comfortable and room clean. Breakfast was great. Would definitely use again. Parking was also helpful and we jumped on a Bus which stops right outside.

Mary was very pleasant &friendly . The property was very clean & the breakfast was fantastic . I would stay there again if I came back to Bathgate & will recommend it to people who say they are going to that area of Scotland.

Lovely comfortable, spacious room with gorgeous view of the loch. Super helpful and friendly hosts. Easy access, parking and only 15 minute walk to center of town. Delicious full cook to order breakfast.

The Gables was perfect for a trip to Edinburgh or Livingston area. Host was very helpful re check in times etc and very friendly. Rooms had everything we needed and breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Would definitely come back!

The Gables is very comfortable and in a great location in Bathgate. Very clean room with Wi-Fi. The Gables is very close to the train station and trains run to Edinburgh frequently. Included is a wonderful breakfast and many thanks for your hospitality.

Good points: Large, quiet and clean room Suprisingly quiet despite being on a main road Floors don't creak when people walking by which is very welcome! Great place to stay if visiting Edinburgh. House very traditional and clean. The owners were incredibly helpful and kind, always checking to make sure you’re ok. Beds super comfy, immaculate clean bedding, had a great two nights sleep. Really busy road outside but you cannot hear a thing inside once the windows are closed. So, so peaceful. Parking outside the house also was great. We will 100% be returning. A fab restaurant around the corner too. All in all 5* for sure.

Lovely place to stay! Mary and Donald are excellent hosts and cook a superb breakfast. The house is clean, quite beautiful, and historic. It's about a 10 minute walk from plenty of shops and restaurants. Would happily stay at the Gables again.
