The accommodations were located right in the heart of Edinburgh next to Arthur’s Seat and walkable to everything, safe and beautiful neighborhood and free breakfast every day at the campus restaurant. While the rooms are simple, they are clean and safe and it was an excellent stay.

Very simple and clean and just what I needed / wanted. Breakfast was great. My one complaint was the shared bathroom, where the toilet was wobbly and felt like it would fall off the wall.

We liked everything about our stay. Wonderful planting in the grounds. Would love to have seen naming of the trees and plants. Love how easy to find peace and quiet in the grounds. Very good substantial breakfast. Had not realised evening meal also prepared and available to buy until our last day.

Good value for a simple stay in Edinburgh. There was rubbish under the bed and a lot of noisy children from an English language school in the shared areas. Location was good and the breakfast was very good. Glad I brought my ear plugs and would recommend you do the same if you stay here.

The staff were so helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. There was everything. The bed was very comfy. The residence was quiet and I felt safe. It just is aways from the centre but a cab ride is cheaper than a hotel in the centre. The only thing was the shower. I couldn’t get it warm.

The location of the property is ideal. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was abnormally hot during our stay and property does not provide fans therefore the room was hot at night. Breakfast was included which was great.

Excellent breakfast, clean room, quite and beautiful neighbourhood, rooms are compact but good; since it's for long term stay it does not have amenities like shampoo and body gel, you have to prepare for your own. Good transportation, bus station just right by the main gate. Checkin centre is not very easy to find but still very helpful.

Very comfortable room with easy access to showers and toilets. Walls are quite thin so it could be noisy at times but overall, it’s good value for money. Close to public transport and Holyrood Park. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean (aside from some strange marks on the carpet) and had everything you’d need for one night. The breakfast was amazing, especially considering it’s included in the price! The bathrooms were very small and not the cleanest and there were no fans or AC which wasn’t ideal given the heatwave. On the whole I’d recommend but not for any longer than 1/2 nights.

Staff were super kind. The towels/linen seemed to need a bleaching or two but I always bring my own when I stay in budget accomodation so it wasnt a problem. The lift was out for two days while I was at Grant house on the fifth floor… the staff were doing everything they could to fix it but sometimes bad stuff happens. The breakfasts was quite good (apsrt from coffee) but I wouldnt eat any other meal on campus (from my limited experience). Rooms were big enough and quiet enough. No A/c of course but the windows let in a nice enough breeze in late July. Well worth the price.

This is student accommodation so it is what you expect. Room is basic but clean enough. No treats attached but just comfortable basic accommodation. I would have liked a mug to use. There is a cup by sink. But there's a kettle in the pantry but no mugs. Even if you could borrow one or sign for it or something like the hairdryers. Breakfast included is fine. Plenty available and fresh.

Edinburgh stay for Tattoo 2025

The rooms were comfortable and excellent for a few days stay. The breakfast was excellent. The location was a little walk from the Royal Mile, but still convenient, with bus ervices available if needed.
