Beautiful place, lots of history, conveniently by the tram. The staff was so accommodating and kind. The room was amazing with lots of extra surprises.. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, we were very impressed!

We received a warm welcome from Anthony, he was really nice and provided good insights and what to do in the city. This was our first accommodations when we arrived and we could not ask for a better place. Well located, not to far from the city center by tram, in a quiet neighbor with all the commodities nearby.

Easy to find located in an ideal area. Staff are so helpful ask about your visit and give you information and advice to make your plans easier to find places. Rooms are very spacious and have everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked for everyone’s needs. Will definitely stay again.

Building is right on tram only street, so quiet for traffic at night. Closest tram stop is 4 min walk, and then 10-15 min ride into Edinburgh. Shared kitchen has all amenities for cooking. Beds are comfortable, bedding is super comfortable. Shower pressure is solid. Some restaurants within 5 min walk, with Tesco Superstore about 5 min away.

Great location to get into the centre of Edinburgh via a tram or bus, or to get to the cafes and pubs in The Shore area. The staff were friendly and informative. The parking was good and seemed to be ample places. The provision of complimentary drinks and snacks was a bonus. Will stay here again when we next visit Edinburgh.

What an absolute gem, so pleased we booked to stay. Free parking around the back, easy check in, Craig and Anthony were so friendly and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble and communication by email was excellent. The room was spotless, comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was also spotless with a good shower, there was even a fridge in the room which was a bonus along with complimentary water and Iron Bru! The B&B had a good size kitchen where you helped yourself to breakfast, bread, cereal and pastries, butter and jams, there was also different pots if you wanted to cook anything. Right on the tram line and lots of different cafes, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Fully recommend staying here and we'll definitely be back!

Stayed in pillars house for a night with my two girls. Had the room with 3 single beds and it was super cosy. Decor was a bit dated but we loved that - felt like granny’s house! Lovely and clean and great facilities in the kitchen to use. We would definitely go back to stay. Staff were lovely and friendly. Nothing to dislike. We used public transport and that was easy from pillars house too.

Was 3 friends staying here.Was ideal in 3 single beds.The staff weren't in a rush to get us to check out. Nice big kitchen to use and is well stocked with cold breakfast like fruit and cereals. If you wanted a cooked breakfast you can take your own food. Lots of places to eat and drink in the area. Easy place to get to on the Tram. Would certainly stay here again. Staff very welcoming
