The property was well situated with a large park opposite, a supermarket, multiple eating establishments and bus stops all within 5-10 minutes’ walk.
With no reception, the property was supposed to email us 24 hours before check in with the building access code. It never arrived by email and I had to escalate to Expedia. The code eventually arrived via message in the Expedia app, only a few hours before we were due to check in.
The room was large enough for three adults, but it had no air conditioning (temperature was 38 degrees Celsius). After the first night and multiple showers to cool off, our towels were soaked. We left them on the bathroom floor, expecting them to be replaced by the time we returned from sightseeing. They were not and we were forced to shower and dry with paper towels we had to purchase. Multiple calls to the remote reception desk went unanswered. My wife eventually found two towels in a drawer near the phone. We went on a day trip again the next day and when we returned at 3pm the room had not been cleaned and we still had no towels. Eventually located the cleaning staff who were onsite and finally secured fresh towels. The accommodation would be better suited to backpackers used to “roughing it”, but I doubt they could afford the high tariffs. For a room that was meant to accommodate 5 adults, they needed far more hooks in the bathroom to hang towels. Other weirdness: the shower was only controllable by an electrical switch outside the bathroom.
