Lovely stay at the Mount Royal, the outside is unassuming but it’s gorgeous inside. Our room was great, spacious and the upgrade to the castle view was most definitely worth it, just being able to sit with a hot drink and admire the view made the stay 10x better.

Loved this hotel! The location was perfect for our adventure. Right across from the Scott monument, a few minutes walk from the Waverly bus stop and a few minutes from the Royal mile. We didn’t have any views personally, but the rooms were clean and exactly as advertised. Breakfast options were delicious. Would definitely recommend!

The property is well located to all major locations including restaurants, shopping, Edinburgh castle, Waverley train station, tram and bus lines, etc. Staff are helpful and the restaurant has awesome views of Edinburgh castle and the park across the street. Breakfast was delicious with a Buffett of a wide selection of items. My one wish is that coffee was better. I highly recommend a stay there.
