My reaction on arriving was that the building was uninhabited. Sadly it was the hotel that I had booked, and looked more like a hostel for the homeless. To say it had seen better days would be very kind. The people on check-in were nice enough. The linen and towels clean. However, if I had arrived early enough in the day I wouldn't have stayed and I would have got my money back.

My room was clean, warm & very comfortable. Easy WiFi connection. Plenty of tea/coffee facilities. All staff were so helpful and friendly, but full marks go to the lovely chap at reception, who helped with the 'uncorking' of my birthday bottle of vino! A perfect stay on my way home to Kent.
