Wonderfully located, with great walkability. The hotel sits on what used to be Edinburgh’s Maternity Hospital, the rooms are good, just slightly dated, but the facilities are perfect. Staff is helpful, very welcoming and willing to share any information they can about sights and Edinburgh’s surroundings. The breakfast was good and very complete with a variety of hot and cold options.

Staff was helpful and friendly and the room was wonderfully clean and roomy. Location was wonderful, close to so much and yet just a slight off the busy (noisy) pathways. We felt secure and comfortable. :-) Would definitely stay here again.

Due to all the recent flight cancellations glitch, our original hotel was overbooked and when we arrived for our reservation we didn’t have a room, We were immediately taken care of by the the staff at Leonardo, provided with a free drink while we were booked with the nearby sister hotel. We were even offered a complimentary taxi to the new booking. In the end, we had an upgraded room with onsite parking, onsite restaurant and a complimentary gift. The staff at both sites were fantastic.

The hotel is very nice and conveniently located. The buffet was good and the selection was diverse. Our only complaint was the quality of the housekeeping. After our first day, we returned to find a used towel on the bed. We had to repeatedly call the desk to ask for more toilet paper. The towels in the bathroom were never refreshed even when they were left on the floor as requested, and the beds were made very sloppily. It marred what would have been a pleasant stay.

The unit is spacious, although a bit smaller than the first one we had a few days ago, before we departed on our trip to the Scottish Highlands. The washroom is great, except there is no mat for the tub, But it does have a standalone shower outside the tub, too, for seniors who cannot get into the tub.
