The Staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Tne Royal Mile is approx 100m from the Hotel. Communication was excellent through WhatsApp. All in all we were very impressed. We will return.

The place is a bit of a maze and quite dark, but it's beautifully decorated and the staff is incredibly attentive and helpful. It was very comfy, and the cabin room wasn't as small as I was expecting which was nice. It's excellent for a short stay, but I don't think I could deal with the wet room bathroom for an extended time period.

This beautiful boutique hotel is perfectly situated a block from the Royal mile and an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go. The room was so comfortable and beautifully eclectic with all the amenities you’d ever want. The best part by far is the hotel staff. They seem to anticipate all of our needs and took care of us like we were the most important customers they’d ever had. I highly recommend the House of Gods to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

Great location in central Edinburgh. All the staff were very helpful and really nice. I liked the option to work in the bar where there are plenty of handy plugs for charging computers etc. The overall ambience is great.

Amazing. So much fun. Did I get lost trying to get back to the lobby from the dark ass velvet hallways? Yes, but again, part of the fun. Did my room have a phone? No, but it had a button to call the butler, summon milk and cookies, and prosecco. Again, I found it very amusing. And you'd think a hotel with velvet walls would be a unsanitary...Nope. Room was clean as a whistle. I am definitely coming back to the Edinburgh location one day. I was already raving about it to friends while in the bar downstairs, which was also great. Very creative drinks. TLDR: if you're traveling as a couple or solo, stay here !! great place, great location, very unique.

The TV remote didn't work and when i raised this they came back with new batteries and it still didn't work. The coffee machine didn't work properly, and there were coffee cups. There was also no kettle to boil water for the teas provided. The heating was not responsive and it was cold in the room. When this was raised they brought a small very loud portable electric heater. They did give us complimentary 'milk and cookies' which felt a little childish. The staff weren't rude, the room was quite quirky and the shower was good. It just didn't feel like value for money.

This was such a fun place to stay! The room is styled like an old, ornate train car! It was so comfy and cozy in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful— when we arrived they immediately offered us prosecco. The best part? The milk & cookies button right in the room. Press it and fresh, hot cookies and milk arrive at your room in minutes! There’s a prosecco button too! So fun!
