Ok for one night, small double room fine for one person. Bed comfortable and had good night’s sleep, efficient shower. Did not like bring asked to pay for a drink after paying £157 for the room. Other guests helped me down the stairs which are the main drawback to this hotel. Good location on Princes Street.

Clean room, small like a holiday trailer, fine for one short night but not to enjoy the city for days. Staff informed us of this before checking in so no complaints, and it was clean. But the rooms are definitely small little pods for 1 person, 2 if you are close.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to sleep in a shoebox then look no further! You get what you pay for, the room is really tiny, think Japanese capsule hotel. I had to clamber over my partner to use the bathroom at night, the rooms aren’t cleaned for the duration of your stay so as soon as you have a shower your bathroom will be perpetually wet, there was black mold in the bathroom, and not enough toilet paper. However, the staff are so helpful and friendly and you’re on the doorstop of one of Edinburgh’s most convenient locations. Noise wasn’t an issue, all the residents were super respectful and quiet, but in the morning you can hear your neighbours coughing and talking. All in all, this is the cheapest hotel you’ll find, it’s bad but bearable for the price.

Friendly, polite and helpful staff. Rooms are very small and I do think the prices shot up with it being marathon weekend too drastically for what you get. This is a budget, value hotel and I paid around £280 for one night which is far too much with what is on offer within the hotel.

Very clean and compact . Didn’t have the greatest view but only spent a night there. Helpful staff. Had a lovely stay but was on my own in the room , maybe if two people for a longer period it may not have been so suitable . Loved the fact I could leave my heavy rucksack at a minimal expense pre room allocation at 3. Gave me the chance to enjoy the city without hassle. Honestly loved the bijou room . Perfectly situated .

I had a room where we had to take turns moving around; there were two of us in our fifties, and it was really small, nothing like the picture when I made the reservation. If I had seen how small it was, I would have thought twice about booking. The staff was very nice. No elevator. Everything was very basic.
