I called. to make sure that the pool was open along with the hot tub… But then when I got there, the pool was not open and neither was a hot tub. I booked my stay about six weeks prior. I wish I would’ve been informed that it was out of service beca only reason I chose this hotel was for the hot tub. Our room on the other hand was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice.

With rising prices in the greater Abilene area, this property in Eastland is worth the stop. If you are not in a rush, many of the historic small towns offer wonderful food and shopping. This property offers clean rooms and great water pressure (always important). The staff was very helpful and the no frills breakfast was always hot and available for four hours. Need a general store with a pharmacy ? It’s across the highway. Need Starbucks? Just 25 minutes away. Fast food? Take your pick. Gas? All over. Plenty of towels. I would prefer on-wall soaps, shampoo and conditioner in the bath but you, like me, probably have your own. Good property for a reasonable price. You’ll pay more for less in Abilene. Trust me.

Staff was super friendly. The rooms however were a complete disappointment. The first room had stains on the mattress and sheets that didnt fit properly. The second room was nice but mold was growing in the grout of the shower. The pool was under maintenance again. We were advised that it had been down for weeks. Cost was too high for the pool to be unavailable. This used to be a very nice property but has turned into a dump.
