The decor in the lounge area facing the sea is very nice. The breakfast isn't so good. It's not a buffet so you have to wait to get your tea/coffee. Buffet breakfasts offer more choice & much more convenient

Great location directly across the road from the beach and close to areas of interest (Seven Sisters, Lewes, Battle) We enjoyed our spacious clean room with high ceilings and doors opening to the balcony to let in the sea breeze / fresh air. Friendly staff. Pleasant stay!

The stay was average overall. The room was clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. The balcony looked like it would have been a nice feature, but unfortunately it wasn't accessible during my stay. The room also had a strong smell of fresh paint, which made it less comfortable. It seemed like parts of the property were still undergoing maintenance or renovation. Additionally, the door lock wasn't working properly, and one of the lights kept flickering. With these issues addressed, the overall experience would be much better.

The staff were welcoming before we even entered the hotel - my disabled husband was helped up the steps to the entrance. Our room was very clean, especially noticed in the bathroom. We had a superior room with a sea view. The view was definitely worth the extra cost. Our king size bed was huge and very comfortable. We had breakfast and an evening meal in the hotel in a very pleasant dining room. The breakfast was excellent value. The evening menu is fairly limited and basic but the price reflected that and it wasn’t a problem for us, staying just one night. We would definitely visit again if the opportunity arises. Thank you East Beach Hotel staff.

Going to start with the staff who were all exceptional and professional yet friendly and down to earth. Points to consider: the balcony which had been cleaned up, still had so much detritus outside on the balcony. Toilet seat broken,

Great value single room for what I needed, with a sea view and good amenities. Staff friendly and without me even asking, noted no cleaning in the day as I was working night shifts. Was glad someone was on the ball!

The staff were friendly, the reception area, bar and restaurant were lovely. The room, although superior needed a few tweaks, i.e. a dressing table, bedside lamps, clean windows and maybe paint over the repair that has been done above the door instead of just being rubbed down. Also very noisy from the guests above.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the bed was very big and comfortable, the service was great and the staff very sweet and friendly. Our room had a beautiful sea view, definitely worth the extra pennies. It’s a bit of a shame that the road just below is quite busy and noisy throughout the day. Nevertheless, it was great to be so close to the sea, we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Then hotel was very nice and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean one was a little small. The TVs in the rooms could do with an upgrade to a 32inch screen or larger. The only negative thing I would say lis one of the lower floors has a view of a courtyard which had a rather lot or dog excrement. I like the hotel is dog friendly but the view not so great. I dont know of its part of the hotel but its connected.

I booked this hotel because their website said it had seaviews, balcony and room service. Unfortunately, they didn't have room service and should update their website. We ate in the restaurant. By the time we finally got our food, l had already gone through 2 cokes and the food was lukewarm. There was only one member of staff that worked both the reception desk and the restaurant (beside the cook). I thought that a bit odd for a Friday night, but l know she did her best. The room itself was lovely, though the tea and coffee were in dire need of being restocked. No shampoo or conditioner as also stated on the website. The comfortable bed and seaview is what truly saved the day for me and being able to sit comfortably and enjoy the view.

Absolutely beautiful stay, lovely and clean, beautiful sea view. If we stayed for more than two nights I'd get a bigger room but it was absolutely fine for two nights. The other guests were really noisy, coming in late and singing but that's not the fault of the hotel. We would definitely stay again
