“My second stay here and it surpassed the high bar set by my previous stay. Got checked in by the manager who had just started there. I got a really nice room with a very high finish in décor which instantly put me in a relaxed mood. After finishing my admin, I went on the same 1 hour walk using the same route which takes me through the town centre. It is such a lovely town to walk around. The shower was amazing and allowed me to settle in for a great night's sleep. Breakfast was so much better...

“Angel Inn is close to the centre of Petworth, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a large modern bath and separate shower and everything was very clean. We appreciated the teapot in the room and selection of teas, also the complimentary flapjack. We ate in the restaurant area of the inn and had an excellent meal. ”

“This hotel is a classic example of faded glory. A pleasant location which was near the Nyetimber Vineyard, which was the reason for the stay. I did send them a message asking advice on local taxi firms when I made the original booking, which was never responded to at all. The check in was interesting as the young lady stood up to recite her script of things we should and shouldn’t do in the hotel. This included the offer of cooked breakfast (continental is included).
