I am an East Cape girl all day long. This resort was exactly what I needed to unwind. We took the adventurous route to get there, and I'd do it all over again! Our room was a king suite with an incredible view of the ocean. I felt so safe that I even walked the beach below at night. I snorkeled right in front of the resort and saw tons of fish, and even a school of rays taking a nap on the ocean floor. The various areas around the resort, such as the cabana beds on the beach, the two pools, our private veranda were all outstanding. Is this a Four Seasons level resort? No, It's a charming, rustic resort with a lot of amenities and not a lot of noise or mile long walks to the pools or the beach. The staff was incredibly kind, warm and welcoming. At first I felt like we were too far away from anything to make it feasible to go off resort for lunch or dinner. But, then we found the paved road into Los Barriles and that was a game changer. We had a fridge and coffee maker in our room that we took full advantage of. I purchased some items before we hit the road in San Jose, including a small cooler, some cheap plates and utensils and a knife. Made Pico, Guacamole, had chips and snacks & sandwiches. We enjoyed numerous breakfasts and lunches in our own private space. The AC worked fantastic, and that was terrific since it was mid-June & very hot. We walked the beach, we floated, we swam and we enjoyed the peace and tranquility. I will definitely return to this magical paradise!
