Absolutely brilliant stay. Perfect size for our family of 4. Clean and comfortable with a thoughtful welcoming pack too. Really friendly hosts who left us to do our thing, but were on hand if needed. Thank you.

Great apartment conveniently located for Durham

This is a great apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. It is in a small village just a few miles from Durham - we drove into the city but also used the buses which run every 30 minutes from about 5 minutes walk away and take 11 minutes to reach the centre. The apartment was spotless and well presented and had everything we needed for a short break. The owners (who live next door) were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and we plan to visit again if we want to stay around Durham.

Home from home

We had a lovely few days at Bancroft. The apartment is spotlessly clean, well designed and thought through, with a brilliant eye for detail, which made time away from home with 2 young children so much easier! We were given a warm welcome and made to feel completely at ease and relaxed. We will be booking again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bancroft to fellow families or even for a couples break away.

Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Spacious rooms with a layout that really worked for our family of 4 (kids aged 12 and 16). Owner very friendly and helpful. Would happily stay again and highly recommend.

Nice apartment close to Durham University

Nice and clean apartment. The location is great, very close to Durham University. The only con is there only 1 toilet which is not convenient for 4 people.

really nice to have an apartment that was clean.

The apartment was clean, the couple that owned it lived in an attached apartment. They were kind and helpful. They supplied milk, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, good for light breakfast.

Lovely apartment in a quiet surburban area

Stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment was spotlessly clean and really lovely. In a quiet suburban area with all the facilities you would need to be able to cater for yourself. Beautifully decorated bedroom with access to a small private garden area. There is parking on site too. The owners are lovely - really friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.
