Historic hotel, great location

Very nice historic hotel with restaurants and bar located in site. Conveniently located downtown and very walkable to shops and restaurants. The only disappointment was the hot tub was out of service for my stay with nothing offered except apologies.

It was a cool experience staying at the historic Strater hotel. Staff were very hospitable. We loved the coffee bar set up on each floor, free coffee, very nice amenity. Free parking was great also, especially for a hotel in the middle of downtown Durango. It was nice having the Diamond Belle Saloon and the grille restaurant onsite. Our only complaint was the bed matress was too soft and needs to be replaced. Overall, great stay!

Loved our stay in this historic property. Room was lovely, food was very good and the back room tour of the hotel and its history was fascinating and well done. Definitely take advantage of this if you stay at the hotel! Staff was wonderful!
