Liked the location. Could walk to downtown easily. Perfect 1st-level room with old dog to step out on beautiful grounds on the river. The homeless presence was only noticeable one day. The time we went to the restaurant there was next-to-no staff to seat us or serve us. But we loved the very large room and would stay there again.

It’s was a convenient, walkable location to the Narrow Gauge train and downtown. Breakfast was not included but was a good on-site option; however, service was slow. They offered free cookies but should have had other option for those that don’t like or allergic to nuts. But the cookies were the only free option even though bottled water said they were complimentary- it was only for “members”.

We had a room on level 1 with a river view. Pricey but worth it to celebrate 55 yrs of marriage. Refrigerator was spacious but lacked a freezer. Very quiet. Easy access to the river walking path. Restaurant was great and prices were reasonable, but when dinner was done it took 10 minutes after asking to get a box for our leftovers and another 15 minutes to get the check and pay

This hotel is very cozy and convenient. We enjoyed our stay. The staff are fantastic. The interior was somewhat dated, but not in gross way. Just felt charming in an old school way. Listening to the river outside our patio put me right to sleep. We would definitely stay there again.

Generally the hotel overall does need a bit of a face-lift. It is quite dated! However my husband and I had a very spacious room, with a small refrigerator, a microwave and a small terrace leading to the river and river walk. Very quiet and scenic! The hotel is dog friendly, many dogs were there, but sound proofing must be good, because we never heard any noise. Our room would have been perfect for a doggie family, Bruno could go straight to the grass, without going through the hotel. If you plan to use the microwave, take your own microwaveable containers, none are provided.
