During my stay at City Express by Marriott, I had two rooms booked. In the middle of the night, I woke up due to the air conditioning unit breaking down, and a strange odor was coming from it, which gave me a severe headache. I called the front desk, and they sent a repairman at 4:20 AM. Unfortunately, I had to wake up my kids so he could access the room.
After I explained how I was feeling, the repairman also noticed the unusual smell and even started experiencing a headache himself. Because of this, they decided to move us to another room. However, the new room was in poor condition—the floor was filthy, the carpet was stained throughout, the bedsheets had stains, and the bathroom was dirty as well.
At that point, we decided to leave the room and stay in the other room I had booked with the rest of my family. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, I wish they paid more attention to the cleanliness of the hotel. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will not be returning to this City Express by Marriott hotel.
