I stayed here for two nights by myself.
The guy who owns the place is friendly and put on a nice continental breakfast (salmon, cheese, eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, and brewed coffee). The bed was comfortable too.
The building and furniture are pretty dated though and in need of upgrading. My room door lock was also temperamental. However, that said it was clean overall and the host mentioned he’s actively renovating, which is good to hear as it’s got potential to be a beautiful building again.
If you plan to stay out late, be sure to coordinate this in advance. I arrived back at 23:45 to find the main door locked and spent 25 minutes knocking before getting in as the door bell didn’t work. However, I’m sure some discussion beforehand with the host will prevent any mix-ups.
Overall, it's in a good quiet spot and run by a nice guy who is working hard to restore the property to its former glory.
