Short stay at the Tailors House

Spent three nights at the Tailors House. Staff very helpful when needed. Room was big,well kept and very comfortable with all we would need. Nice bar to the side. The restaurant looked good but we didn't have the time to sample it. By far enjoyed the stay here in Ballygawley and would recommend.

Fantastic for the price. Went for a wedding in a nearby hotel so was looking for a place to lay the head. The rooms were on the smaller side but still plenty of room to relax and change. Bed was very comfy and everything was well presented. TV in the rooms with tea coffee facility and a hair dryer. Even a couple of wee chocolate mints and a bottle of fresh water. I would have no issues staying again!

Friendly hotel in a lovely spot

Lovely hotel/restaurant/bar in a very nice little village/town? Extremely friendly staff and locals made me feel very welcome for a couple of beers after a long day driving (from Leeds, England)......will definitely return.

Be wary if booking through Hotels.com as this place is basically a bar/restaurant with rooms but the bsr/restaurant is only open a few days a week. No mention of this in the description on the Hotels.com site when I booked therefore I was a bit annoyed when arriving at a locked and empty establishment after a long day.

Place was closed when I arrived. Eventually managed to speak to someone who talked me through how to get in after I'd called 4 times and been left hanging around for a half hour. Room was OK but on the small side. Freezing cold, weak shower on my first morning. No breakfast available and the bar / restaurant was shut on both nights I stayed (according to website, it's only open Thursday to Sunday) I did sleep very well for the 2 nights I was there but I definitely won't be back. Very disappointed bearing in mind the great reviews!

Boring business trip.

I arrived about 5.15pm on a Monday, the guy text and rang to confirm my arrival time, he rang again as I was running late, found out the restaurant isn’t open on a Monday night so it’s a check in by handing you a key card etc. No breakfast available, shower was broken so you only had the rainfall head and it was cold. Room was ok, could do with a lick of paint and overhaul in parts. Word of note, there are no restaurants in town so I ended up with a take away in my room.

Decent Stay

Clean rooms, friendly staff, I stayed with family for two nights. I didn't find a staff at the reception, on the day of our checkout, maybe due to CoVID restrictions. Also Hotels.com didn't inform us of the fact that the restaurant was not available. It will be difficult to find a parking spot in front of property, so I had to park in Centra's parking.

Highly recommend the Tailors house,

The initial room (apartment) wasn’t nice at all but they switched us into a fabulous room upstairs. From that point on it was perfect. Above and beyond service, friendliness , courtesy, staff were excellent especially Carl the bar manager.

Really nice place and very clean. There was a slight mix up with the booking but the staff couldnt have done enough to solve the issue. Didnt enjoy the breakfast but everything else was good.

Excellent place to stay staff very friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable and food in the restaurant was very enjoyable. Breakfast next morning also very good. Highly recommend, would definitely stay hete again.
