The staff are so helpful and the breakfast are so hearty. Great choice to stay outside of Edinburgh and great value for money. Catch the X55 bus just a short walk down the road to the bus terminal in the heart of Edinburgh. The X55 is wheel chair equipped as well. There is a superb fish and chip shop next door with Pizzas as well. The selection is fantastic and portions are huge.

There is no fan or air conditioning in the room. Thus, NO AIR circulation. Bring your own fan. The window opened but there was no screen and we were looking at garbage bins and dumpsters. Thus, we kept the window closed to avoid any bugs/flies from entering as well as any odours. There was rarely anyone at the front desk as they guys also had to look after the breakfast area and who knows what else. there is no counter space in the bathroom for any toiletries. The plug for the hairdryer was only 2-prong but the hairdryer was 3-prong. So you had to plug it in the room and sit on a chair, find a mirror to use. The location is NOT convenient if you do not have a car. I would pay a bit more for better accomodations. One good thing is their breakfast. The guys are doing their best but the management needs to invest some $$ to fix the place jp.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had breakfast there each morning. The price for the stay was very good compared to Edinburgh prices. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean, and it’s a great base for trips to Edinburgh because you can get there by Ember bus for just £4 (December 2025). I definitely recommend it and would stay again if I have the chance.
