My sister and I enjoyed our comfortable bed and just been in the heart of town easy to walk around. Bathroom and toilets. Very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. May God bless you all

Very nice receptionist who allowed me to check in before the norm check in time and specifically did up the bed to accommodate me. Cheers for that. Nicely done up bathroom which is impressive. So far the only bathroom with heating rod to keep the hand towels dry. Rooms are spacious w a mobile heater which warm up the room. Lots of storage beneath, on the side and a panel inside the pod to keep some necessities. Extra storage near the receptionist upon request. Super impressed by the Japanese receptionist who even help carry luggage to the room.

Thank you for another great visit and stay at Uptown. Your staff is kind and friendly. The room was actually a bit too warm but otherwise it's a great hostel. I wish the staff at Best Cafe were as nice as the staff at Uptown. I tried to enter Best Cafe and no sooner had I stepped into the doorway when a woman staffer pushed me out closing the door in my face and saying they couldn't take in just one more customer - even with empty tables waiting! I couldn't find another sea food restaurant to eat at - wish there were more of them to choose from when you are hungry between 3 and 5pm and all the good eateries are closed! Thanks for another great stay at Uptown.

Noisy, no sleep here

The amount of noise coming from inside this hoste was shocking, with voices from the managers own bedroom, which was right the through the night until after 4, wit constant coughing fits coming from the same room. Not sure what they were smoking? The rest of stay was ok, clean enough and great location.

Dingy, no windows in communical area. This isn't a problem tho. Stay here if you like cold showers and shady room mates. Good free section thought.

Far too noisy, people allowed in the kitchen until 10.30pm, plus loud people in the common area until all hours. My room was partly pretected by a solid door, but there was no management presence, or supervision in the evening. On Top Backpackers have signs, outlining after 9pm is a quiet time. Nothing like that here.
