Stayed overnight when meeting up with friends in Dundee. Reception friendly on check in. Never booked breakfast and arranged to eat in Dundee so did not use the dining room or bar. Room was clean and bed comfortable...only issue i had overall was one of the hand towels in my room was soaking wet on my arriving jn the room. Wouldnt like to think it had not been changed? Apart from that I had a comfortable stay and free parking at the hotel is ideal too, would certainly book again as i have been to xmas night out here but not stayed at the hotel till now :-)

Beautiful hotel. We attended a function in the ballroom and the public areas of the main hotel are all really lovely, clean and comfortable. The room was a little basic but it was clean, comfortable and great value so no complaints there.

An overnight stay after a wedding at a nearby venue so really just wanted a place to put our heads down but the hotel was and room much nicer than expected. Excellent parking facilities. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant overlooking the river Tay.

Beautiful setting

Good location- fairly close to the city centre

Decent enough. Well located a couple of miles outside of the city centre. Perhaps a little soulless but happy enough with the one night stay.

The hotel has beautiful gardens and views. It's very close to the Botanical Gardens and there are buses in to town. The dinner menu is very good. The staff work extemely hard. I feel that more staff are needed as that would be helpful to people staying and also mean that the staff had a better work experience

Fantastic Place

This was a real find for a one night stay in Dundee. The deal with Hotels.com was incredibly cheap and after staying at the hotel I would quite happily pay 3 times that amount. We didn't have breakfast but had dinner there and the food was lovely, well cooked and tasty with ample portions. The staff across the board were friendly and helpful and the view from the hotel gardens and restaurant has to be seen to be believed. We will be back!

I understand that not all hotel rooms have a fridge: that's why I bring my own cool box. I certainly don't expect the staff to switch it off [and leave it off] when they clean the room. This hotel is convenient for the Hospital/Medical School but [having stayed twice in the past month] it survives only on past glories and repeat non-resident diners. Food is persistently overcooked and oversalted. Service is at best average.
