This is Heaven The area is best for families also solo travellers. Food, Bar and Restaurant is so good I would love to visit again The green surrounding and well maintained hotel. Calm and peaceful perfect atmosphere with amazing and excellent staff.

lovely hotel in expansive grounds a few miles from dumfries. very relaxing. good quality room. the windows are tired but would need a bespoke replacement, but happy to overlook due to the quality elsewhere during the stay evening meal and breakfast were both very good and the restaurant seemed busy with locals, always a good sign. i recommend the porridge with honey for breakfast starters we would be very happy to stay there again

Room was spacious and well decorated with very comfortable beds. My only issue would be that the room on the second floor had only one small window and was therefore much too warm to sleep comfortably. It needs aircon desperately. Staff were very helpful even calling us to let us know we'd left a spare car key in our room.. after we'd checked out.

Clean room, excellent breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at very reasonable price and big portions. Close to Dalscone Farm and various other places to keep kids entertained. I booked the deluxe family room although didn’t really know what I was getting due to the lack of pictures online on any website. I would definitely return.
