The hosts Rena and Derek are very welcoming and friendly. The bedroom we stayed in was clean and spacious, and we found the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was well cooked and plentyfull

We had a great stay at Hamilton House – very friendly owners, spotlessly clean property, large comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Really useful having the car park at the back for our motorcycles, out of sight and under cameras. 15 minute walk in to town. Dumfries is a great base for exploring the area, highly recommended, we will be back!

Very Comfortable, Friendly and Relaxed

My stay at Hamilton House was a very positive experience for me. Check in was quick and simple. Service was at all times extremely polite and courteous. Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good and check out was flexible and helpful. I would definitely stay again

The hotel was easy to find. We were arriving late in the evening, so notified the proprietor who messaged us back with a code to access a key and our room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and plentiful. the hosts were friendly and welcoming, even though our was a brief overnight stay. We would certainly stay here again.

Derek & Rena have a lovely home and are great hosts. Very nice breakfast. We were in town for a friends wedding. Would recommend highly for a stay in Dumfries.

What a great place to stay starting with a great welcome from lovely hosts! Immaculate accommodation throughout and genuine quality feel to the property. Plenty tea coffee and hot chocolate and lovely biscuits- thank you. Slept like a log mattress pillow and ambient temperature in the room perfect. Lovely large shower in Room 6 followed by fresh well cooked breakfast. All in all just a great place to stay .

We had a very comfortable overnight stay. The room is large, with a very comfortable bed and great bed linen. Great breakfast. Lovely and friendly hotel owner. Two points to note: bathroom sink is very small. Ok for washing hands; not so good for trying to wash off make up. The hotel has a very distinct smell.

Great hosting, lovely breakfast, good location - close enough to town centre and station. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and large, property was a little dated, but that added to its charm, would certainly recommend, as it was great value. Very happy with our stay

Great stay

Very warm welcome. Room was ready early as requested. Room was very clean, large and had excellent furnishings,very tastefully decorated. The property was well maintained. Breakfast was great with very good service. Nothing was too much trouble. The range of teas, coffees, milk and biscuits in the room was very good. Grea t location near to Dumfries town centre, and railway station.

Exquisite B and B in Dumfries.

This is an exquisite B and B and highly recommend. The hosts go above and beyond to make your visit worthwhile and the breakfast is sensational! This B and B gets 10/10 every time and throughly deserves it! Short reasonable distance form city centre (walkable) and cant recommend highly enough.
