This is my happy place. I rarely go back to places I've already been, but I came back this year after a fantastic stay last year. The offshore snorkeling here is the best I've ever experienced. I love the beachfront bures and private outdoor showers. The food and overall vibe here is amazing. It's not fancy, but it is simple luxury.

The oceanfront bure was absolutely amazing! One of the best places I stayed on my trip for sure. The staff was great and the diving was awesome. The food could use a little love, but I really enjoyed my stay here.

We had a great stay overall. The manta rays were absolutely incredible, and the coral gardens are some of the best you’ll find. The food was excellent, although the cocktails varied depending on who was making them. The staff were very friendly, and it was lovely being recognised after a few days. Virokai even remembered my name, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. A few practical improvements would make the stay even better. An information sheet in the bure would be helpful — explaining how lunch and dinner work, what the red coconut is for, and what to expect with cleaning. Cleaning wasn’t consistent during our stay; our friends received fresh towels and sheets halfway through the week, while we had to request clean towels ourselves. The bure was comfortable overall, but the bed was too firm for our liking, and the roof could use a bit of TLC. If you’re coming for manta rays and stunning coral reef gardens, this is absolutely the right resort.

Such a friendly, laid back vibe in a beautiful setting! It had an incredibly warm social environment that was the product of a strong vision and a great team on staff to foster that kind of spirit. Impeccably well-organized operation at check-in, check-out and meal-times. Beautiful beaches, reefs and hill top views. Wonderful dive center with kind staff giving great marine biology talks and tours in addition to snorkel and scuba trips. Great meals. Such an easy place to make to new friends, but also easy to find quiet solo time at. Just the best--would absolutely stay here again.

Barefoot Manta exceeded expectations in every way! The staff were friendly, kind and attentive. The food was quite good, drink options did the job, but you're really going here for the activities. The reefs that surround the resort are nothing short of spectacular. Teeming with marine life and outrageously beautiful coral. We can't wait to return next year!

Great location, beautiful conservation area so the coral and the fishes are lovely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They keep you engaged and entertained. Playing volleyball, fan weaving, cooking classes, kids playing…. It was a great experience. Highly recommend staying here because of the location and the staff. Prices for food could be a little cheaper though. But food was really good.

Awesome for snorkeling right off the beaches. Easy access to sunrise and sunset beaches. The Bures' on the sunrise side are breezy but great for dry cleaning clothes and sleeping cooler. The food was great although I was expecting more fish dishes. Lamb, beef and chicken are the staples, the rice is cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Staff are great and will show you culture and happiness.
