Best place to stay in Drake Bay

View from balcony .. entire wall facing the bay is a glass window.. Owner set up an epic adventure for me on extremely short notice and always available when needed Location is perfect and minutes away from anything you could need

Loved the ocean view, short distance to anything in town, and being able to set up excursions right there. Having a/c and a refrigerator in the room was great, and not the norm in drake bay! The room was nicely done with tile, a great deck, ceiling fan, and the service was terrific!

Erick is an awesome host. So helpful and very willing to give up his time for you when you need assistance. He runs a fantastic tour of Corcovado as well with a great meal included. I would stay at Pacheco Cabins again. Remember you are in the rainforest and not in a five star hotel. It’s more like a motel with a million dollar view and a great guy running the business.

Drake bay oceanfront view.

Drake bay is a magic place. It is rated as one of the most bio diverse places in the world. The two main attractions are Corcovado National Park and Caño Island which is the second best dive location in the country (only after the mythical Cocos Island). The hotel is small but well served, the crew is kind and friendly.

Très tranquille ! Proche de la nature. Faut aimer être un peu éloigné des touristes. Manque de quoi ranger les affaires et faire sécher les affaires. Ambiance humide liée au lieu géographique.

Great budget room

The cabin that we stayed in was a great value (i.e. good features and location for the price). Terrific ocean view from the cabin patio and the AC and WiFi worked well. Less than a five minute walk to the beach, grocery, and several restaurants. Erick is laid back, helpful, and easy to work with. Only complaint is that the bed was really firm.
