Vacations Close To Dr. Thomas Walker State Historic Site

Obviously the employees /owners have been submitting surveys because there is no way this hotel would get even remotely high survey scores! 9.6 yeah right!!! The room smelled so strong of febreeze it was ridiculous. There was a slimy puddle on the bed nightstand, no idea what it was. The sheet had a 5 inch long stain on it. The AC made a very loud ticking noise unless you hit the side of it every hour or two. Breakfast. The surveys I read said breakfast was awesome with a big variety of very good hot food. The “hot food” consisted of inedible overly salted fake eggs and cold barely cooked sausage links. That’s it. When we were down there trying to attempt to eat breakfast every single person there was complaining about the food. When we went to leave the elevator was broken. The maintenance man said “this happens all of the time”. So we had to carry our heavy suitcases down the stairs, and now my back is sore. Total fail!

Great stay

Typical HI Express. Not luxurious, but nice. Clean, decent workout room, good breakfast, fresh coffee all day, easy parking. Solid decision, for the price.
