The lobby is beautiful, staff was helpful and friendly. Elevators are small. property is quiet which we loved, we were there for a show at the balboa theater and were able to walk. gaslamp is also within walking distance. cleanliness could be better. We had some dirty towels. you ciuld tell counters/ lamp tables had not been cleaned in a while.One of the TVs in our room didn't work

This is a conveniently located boutique hotel in walking distance to the Gaslamp quarter and the convention center. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are in need of updating, though. Some drawers were broken, lighting is a bit dark, and carpets seem worn.

We were given a really small room when we first checked in and were told that we would be charged $25 usd service fee per day. We had booked a queen size bed but the one we had seeemd more like a double bed. We later inquired if there was a bigger room and the lady was kind enough to transfer us. To be honest the hotel is old and does not have good amenities. Yes it’s convenient and within walking distance to many places in the downtown area but I would stay at a different hotel next time.

Such a quaint property. Hotel staff went above and beyond with our stay. They even kept the Easter decorations later for us to take pictures with the baby. Will definitely return!!

Property located very close to San Diego convention center, where my son ran a half marathon. Rooms were tiny, but very well maintained.
