 ludicrous to say this is four-star. It’s barely two-star. Rooms very basic. The restaurant hasn’t been open for three years and hard to say whether or not the bar opens. You need orienteering skills to find the private car park. Good breakfast, though

Ideal Town Centre Hotel

An ideal town centre location for a one night stay. We had two rooms, one standard and one executive and really there was little to choose between them, other than a little more space. Our rooms were on the second floor and it meant a two flight walk up, I'm not sure that there is a lift, perhaps in the other wing, so worth checking if stairs are an issue. Both had good shower rooms and we all slept well. A buffet breakfast was on offer and the receptionist offered to cook a choice of eggs for us all. This hotel used to have a notable restaurant but a change of ownership (and Covid) means that there is no longer an evening meal option. The hotel seemed very quiet for a Friday evening but it was mid March. The hotel has a private car park about 200m away but it looked more secure parking on the street directly in front of the hotel. We would be happy to stay again.

The room was a long way up on the second floor. No lift and very steep final flight of stairs. The curtain was not hung properly and the WC (and therefore the rest of the small room) was very smelly. The fire alarm went off just as i was getting to sleep and we were all out on the pavement for an hour, en deshabille.

Nous avions deux chambres au deuxiĂšme Ă©tage. AccĂšs trĂšs raide. La salle de bain est vieillotte et la chasse d eau coulait. Chambre petite pour nos filles la porte de la salle de bain cognait sur le lit. NĂ©anmoins l’hĂŽtel est trĂšs bien situĂ© et le rapport qualitĂ© prix est bon.
