The staff were all friendly,inviting and hard working, the room was basic but perfect for us, comfy bed,was warm and adequate for our needs. The evening meal was lovely as was the breakfast and reasonably priced. If your one of those snobs who run fingers along skirting boards or delve into the various crevices in bathrooms then don't stay but if your like us ...enjoy a nice warm comfortable room, happy staff and excellent food then the regent is perfect for you. Definitely will stay again

A lovely dog-friendly hotel in the centre of town, which totally suited my requirements. I was a little surprised to have to pay £10 per dog when it says £10 per accommodation though.

what a great find!

delightful find in a great area, exactly where i needed to be for access to a few local places - hotel situated in a quiet square, has good bar and restaurant - highly recommended at this price level.

Cosy and modern, but keeping its older warmth. Efficient and quick service. Checking in and out was no bother. The shower was hot and the bed really cosy. Perfect stay for a night when up early for a course the next day.
