I’ve stayed in the Hex home many times now. I love visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Park & try to go for a couple of days at a time. Staying on the site is ideal. The hotel is comfortable with everything you would expect. If you have a room overlooking the park you can often watch the gibbons, wolves or the new penguin arrivals. The bistro next door has a good buffet breakfast to set you up for a lot of walking in YWP. The reception staff are lovely - welcoming & helpful.

We stayed in one of the family rooms overlooking the park. The rooms were comfy, clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly. Our room looked onto the park, with views of the animals which the kids were delighted about. We had breakfast included. There was plenty of choice, albeit the quality of the food wasn't the best. That said, there was lots of space, and helpful staff. The hotel was perfectly situated for us. Overall a great stay.

Lovely hotel! Very cool location! I would say helpful to have a car to get about, although I did see bus services. Very quiet which was lovely and lots of cafes etc on the premises. Staff also very helpful and kind.

From arrival to departure the staff were very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Car park was very well signposted, with a shirt walk to the reception and then on to the hotel itself. 3 lifts so ever had to wait too long, I found the addition of a watering hole very useful, especially if you wanted a snack or a drink through the evening. The room itself was very clean with great amenities and good mood lighting. The view over the park was fantastic, Gibbons, Maned Wolf, Bush Dogs and other animals could be seen from the windows. The view as the sun set was amazing! Fresh tea and coffee every day along with lovely little treat of Jammie Dodgers. We had breakfast in the Bistro and pleasantly surprised that everything was gluten free, or had GF options as standard. Service, atmosphere and the food was fantastic. We had such a wonderful stay, just trying to figure out when we can come back we loved it so much :) thanks for a great stay.
