Wonderful quiet retreat. Spent our evenings watching toucans and cooling off in the pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent - avocado toast for breakfast was a highlight. No TV in the room was great! Meant we really had a chance to disconnect from the world!

The view from Tiki Villas is so beautiful, incredible pool/restaurant views in particular but also from each villa, they are all so well situated. The recent renovation is really well done with fantastic indoor/outdoor bathrooms and super comfortable beds. I think some finishing touches are still being done but I have no doubt it will be fantastic when finished. Staff are all friendly and the food is excellent - wonderful breakfast and really inventive dinner dishes.

This modern boutique hotel exceeded all our expectations. The view of the sea is absolutely breathtaking, and what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible wildlife—every morning and evening we were able to watch countless birds, including toucans and parrots. It felt like something out of a nature documentary. The à la carte breakfast was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared each day. Dinner was just as impressive, with high-quality dishes that made every evening feel special. We loved our stay at Tiki Villas. The properties were well furnished and in an idyllic location and the restaurant and pool area is exceptional. Admittedly, you can here some road noise on occasions in the distance but this is almost inevitable along this part of the coast. Also, it's nothing compared to the noise of the wildlife 😀. There was a problem when we booked in, as we were supposed to have a double double villa but due to some issue with their bookings, they had overbooked these type of villas but instead they offered us two double bed villas at no extra cost. This annoyed at the time as we had booked some months ago and I asked to see the manager to explain the reasons for this. The man at reception, Gerald, was apologetic and went to see the manager. Gerald came back and stated again we had been offered the other Villa at no extra cost and I could cancel if I wished. However, it would have been nice if the Manager himself could have come over and spoken to me, as I subsequently realised he was only seated in the restaurant close by. Anyway, we did not let this spoil our stay and we ate at the restaurant every evening and food was excellent. In addition, our breakfast every morning, which we hadn't realised was complementary, was also exceptional. The staff were also very helpful. I've mentioned Gerald but I would also like to pass on a special thanks to Walter, who served us in the restaurant most evenings. He catered for our every need and was very professional

This place has an outstanding view from the infinity pool, exceptional personal service from all the staff and is in a great location for exploring Uvita, Ballena and Dominical. Wow what a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and helpful but were very busy! This is a lovely place, food was excellent and room comfortable. Had a free weekend with the girlies during our month-long study abroad trip, and we could not have made a better choice than Tiki Villas!! The hotel staff, the view, the pool and spa services—absolutely no complaints from any of us. From the get go, we were treated so kindly; Nancy upgraded our hotel room when we arrived so we’d have more space, and the room was lovely. We had an indoor AND outdoor shower, and a balcony with a view of the ocean. It’s genuinely the nicest place I’ve ever stayed. The restaurant staff were also so kind and patient considering we’re a group of girls who are fairly new to speaking Spanish, and they always met us halfway (or more) with communication! The food and drinks were always amazing. They gave me a bag of dry rice when my phone got soaked at Parque Nacional Marino Ballena, and I was so grateful. They went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and did not need anything. I definitely hope to return one day and stay for much longer. Two days was not enough. Tiki Villas has definitely been solidified as one of my best experiences in Costa Rica, and I genuinely don’t know how anywhere else I go will be able to top this place!

Deceiving!

I am sure 10 years ago the hotel was great. It’s just run down since it’s 2012 travel awards they received. Staff was nice but room was out dated and affected by the years of humidity. Firstly it was a challenge to locate the property. Zero signage indicating its location distance/direction to villas. Locks on doors were not functional for the patio and outdoor shower. The bed was probably the hardest mattress I have ever slept on. Sink water unsafe for consumption (teeth brushing, face washing, etc.) Property at night is not well lit, especially in the parking lot that is a distance from the hotel reception. Overall just needs to be maintained and cleaned up.

Amazing stay, truly unforgettable! Tiki Villas made us feel incredibly special as we celebrated our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, they pulled out all the stops with flowers, thoughtful treats, and genuinely heartfelt hospitality. The entire staff went above and beyond, but Walter and Kerling deserve special recognition. They were incredible. Their recommendations were spot-on, and they helped us navigate a few unexpected challenges with ease. The accommodations were outstanding. An extremely comfortable bed, huge soaking tub, a beautiful and relaxing pool, and an overall sense of privacy and luxury that made it feel like a true escape. Breakfast each morning was phenomenal, and the food overall was excellent. And the dessert. Wow. The chocolate lava brownie, sadly discontinued, was hands-down one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. Truly unreal, and we can only hope they bring it back. We cannot recommend Tiki Villas enough. Can’t wait to come back!!
