Vacations Close To Discovery Center of Idaho

DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS!! NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!! Gross and unsafe!! The Hotel conditions were below most motels that I’ve stayed at. We felt unsafe immediately walking through the parking lot. We should not have checked in, but we did, against the judgment of our sense of smell and sight. The hallway carpets were held together by multicolored duct tape. The room smelled like mold, stale cigarettes and dirty linen. We immediately notified Hotels.com and the representative was understanding and helpful. We promptly took our room keys down to the front desk, put them on the counter and said we are not staying here to the front desk person. This was our first trip to Boise and Red Lion almost ruined it. Thankfully, we were able to book another hotel about a mile away, which was clean with inviting staff and much MUCH better maintained condition! Thank you (Hotel with a number) for saving our special night. I will be telling everybody that unless that Downtown Red Lion renovates everything to never stay there. I will post this on every social media platform I can if we’re not refunded within 48 hours!

We very much liked this old-school hotel. Great location walkable to all of downtown Boise, super nice staff, and a charming place. I’d opt for a 3rd or 4th floor room next time for a little more quiet but the little noise we did hear wasn’t bad, no problem sleeping. We’ll stay here again.

We had a great one night stay. Super clean place, beds super comfortable and the staff super nice. Loved the bar too

HOTEL 43 SAVED OUR ANNIVERSARY! Clean, modern, welcoming and comfortable! We had drinks and a few appetizers at Chandlers next door, fabulous!! We will stay there again. But… We were originally book at Red Lion down the street, it was SOOO GROSS AND DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS.
