Welcoming stay

Kiltearn is a lovely property with excellent rooms, great guest space and an ideal location. Ed was a warm and welcoming host anxious to help and please. Beds and bathroom were very good -the shower was a little tight but worked well. Breakfast was good with excellent choice, locally made preserves and tasty food. No complaints about portions and the porridge was excellent.

Emily and staff were so friendly and made our stay (as brief as it was) very comfortable… the location and setting also made us realize we need to plan more of our trips where we can exhale - away from the “hustle and bustle”, carry on great conversations with local-folk and learn more about the history of these quaint and off-the-beaten-path towns and hamlets - thank you Emily!

A lovely Jem by the Comity Firth.

Loved this guest house as so quiet and tranquil. The views are fabulous and the walks from the house beautiful. A hearty breakfast every day freshly cooked all locally sourced. The house is very clean and so welcoming, you feel at home straight away. I would recommend to anyone and shall be staying again.

This is a beautiful setting by the sea with idyllic walking in the area. The host greets you at the door and provides a thorough review of all the small things you usually have to ask about. A very comfortable lounge. I was able to open my window and listen to the songbirds greeting the day.

Followlng 3 night stay recently at Kiltearn would highly recommend to anyone seeking accommodation in a characterful property set in peaceful, quiet surroundings. Owners are very welcoming, caring and hard working. Great attention to create extremely comfortable guest lounge and bedrooms. Breakfasts very well organised and I really appreciated how delicious they were considering my gluten and dairy intolerances. Only disappointment was not being able to stay longer! l

Quiet and Beautiful Location

Lovely country house and warm welcome. Views over the Cromarty Firth from the front of the house. Choice of breakfast and selection of fruits and cereals. Soft drinks, Tea & Coffee making facilities with fresh milk. Breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden in the conservatory. Eating out in the evening is in the nearby village Evanton about 1.5 miles.

Exceptional Guest House

A wonderful surprise finding this gem hidden in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Not one detail has been overlooked, including a mini-fridge with a fresh bottle of milk in the guest room to a heated mattress pad, everything has been well thought out as well as being warmly received. Deluxe comfort

We chose to stay at Kiltearn Guest house towards the end of our tour of North Scotland in our motorhome. It was just the deluxe comfort we needed. King size bed, fluffy towels and a cracking breakfast. We also booked afternoon tea which was absolutely amazing! One of the best I’ve ever had. Would love to return in the winter when those log fires are lit. Stunning views and lots to do in the area. Also on the North Coast 500 route.

Pleasant Stay

Pleasant stay with friendly host. Warm welcome and nice view across the river. This guest house is in the countryside but not far off the main road. Good recommendation for dinner on the Black Isle. An eclectic mix of ornaments in the public areas! Breakfast ok, rooms clean and all the COVID processes in place.

We loved our stay at Kiltearn Guest House - such a lovely house with gorgeous views over the Loch and some very thoughtful details - chilled water on hand and chilled milk in the room. Breakfast was included and was delicious - the room was clean and fresh - a really enjoyable stay.
