“Excellent service”

“We (2 couples) stayed at Emlagh House for 3 nights. It was our favourite accommodation in a 3 week trip around Ireland. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to town. The rooms were very spacious with lovely views, and had air conditioning - rare for Ireland but as Australians a must when the weather is warmer and humid. Beds were king size and super comfortable. Breakfast was delightful and the common areas, especially the conservatory, were a great spot for a pre or post dinner drink and...

“There is a lot to like about Milltown House, but there were a few major things that did strain our trip. I'll start with what we loved: Delicious, bountiful breakfast; some of the rooms are stunning and very comfortable; nice common areas, and friendly, fun Irish wolfhounds. “Absolutely gorgeous place!! They have stocked the space with everything you could ever need plus luxuries like towel warmers and a really comfortable bed. Can tell a lot of thought has gone into everything. The area is absolutely beautiful, not the main centre but we easily got taxis there and back the entire stay and it feels like a real slice of heaven sat looking out at the beautiful views. We would book here again in a heartbeat!”

Le personnel a également été courtois, serviable et disponible pour répondre à nos demandes. Le seul point à améliorer serait la ventilation dans les chambres. “Book the stay, called to arrange a taxi to the hotel. Told the lady we were arrive late because of flight cancellation and she said to call 3 taxi services the day of travel. No taxis are working at 8:30 pm on the coast. So there was no way to make it to the hotel and we couldn’t get a refund. Disappointing and frustrating. The lady should have informed us of the area and how taxi’s don’t run late, I could have cancelled and gotten my money back earlier. Paid for a stay I could never arrive at.”

“Honestly, everyone coming to Ireland should stay here. It’s a beautiful property tucked away on Valentia island, and really close to Portmagee if you’re heading to the Skelligs. The restaurant is great, and the staff are so nice. It was the highlight of our trip.”
