“Hotel Steenhuyse was a very nice place for me to stay on my cycling trip to Flanders. Bart was a great host. He even sat and had a nice chat with me at breakfast. My room was very large, clean, and well-decorated. Breakfast was a buffet with a variety of meats, breads, pastries, and cereals. As a cycling fan from the U.S., I couldn't recommend a hotel more than this one. It is a few steps away from the Tour of Flanders museum, and a short ride from the famous climbs of the Ronde. “Unique, characterful and outstandingly beautiful chateau with immaculately maintained parkland grounds. Our room in the old stables had been recently renovated to the highest standard and with attention given to every detail. This is the sort of place that you always hope to discover but rarely do. Even the local town is only a ten minute walk away. Eat at Basile, yet another revelation. We only wished we were staying for longer.”
