This was such a beautiful stay. I booked a suite with a mountain view. The rooms were clean and beautifully designed. Mall road is just a walk away and theres plenty of cafes nearby. The staff were always willing to help. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The rooms with a view has a genuinely fantastic view of the Dhauladhar Range, especially room 405 and the ones next to it. The food was also great in taste and quality. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Be aware when booking, if it says no view it means there is no window. There is not much sound proofing in the rooms, you can hear dogs barking all night. Although the staff was friendly, I did find they were not too helpful. I had to check out a day earlier as the airport in Dharamsala was closed due to weather and I had to get to Chandigarh which is the next nearest airport (6 hr), so had to leave the day before. The hotel would not consider giving me any kind of refund. The breakfast was also not great, it was just okay,

We had the most comfortable and wonderful stay at the hotel. We were there for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday celebration. The location was perfect—close to the main temple—with an amazing view from our room. The room was bright and modern, making it easy to relax without feeling pressure to go out. The food at the hotel was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful in every way. The next time we visit Dharamshala, we are definitely staying here again!

The Belvedere is beautiful property in a very convenient location close to the Dalai Lama's temple. The staff are wonderful. The room is nicely decorated and very comfortable, with magnificent views of the mountains.

The staff were excellent. The room was clean. We had the mountain view and the view was gorgeous. They have a nice restaurant and an excellent complimentary breakfast. A problem we had was the room became cold in the evenings/nights. Because of the central HVAC, we could not set our thermostat to heat. The hotel property was clean, however the area around the property was not very clean. The hotel is very close to the Dalai Lama temple. Overall, we had a wonderful time in the hotel.

Great location, being less than 5 mins walking distance to the main shopping and dining area and Kalachakra Temple, yet feels quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. Room was of a good size, very clean and well equipped with good heating. Bedding was very comfortable, bathroom was good, hot water supply worked great and wifi network was strong. The view of the mountains, including the Dhauladhars, was good from the balcony and the restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating with lovely views of the snow-caps, valley and Mcleodganj town. Breakfast options were good although they could add some local Tibetan options for breakfast. Most of all, the staff was very friendly, polite, warm and provided great service. Special thanks to Tsering for interacting so warmly with my son, explaining some local Tibetan customs, and offering helpful tour suggestions. Would also like to thank YeShi for his warm service and handing out a whole bunch of stickers that my son loved and also Mr Dogra for putting together a stront team under his management. Highly recommend and would love to stay again.

I was debating if to give it 4 or 5 star and ended up giving it a 4 star. I have to say that all was perfect except the room that we got. It was right next to the reception (room 402). I booked a room with a view and got a room with a partial view which most was trees and a building and on the left side we could see the beautiful views. I chose this hotel by the reviews and the beautiful views they offered. I was very disappointed and unhappy with the room we got and I mentioned it to the receptionist. When we checked in and saw the room, we asked if we can move to a different room but was told it was fully booked. On our 3rd day, I saw again the same receptionist and mentioned again how disappointed I was with our room and he told me that if I want to switch, he can give us a better room but it didn’t matter any more because we were there for 4 days 4 nights. On our last day, it was mentioned to me that there were only 3 or 4 totally rooms booed at the hotel so I went back to the reception and told him that I really don’t understand why we couldn’t be moved and he told me that the manager will reach out to me. Which she never did. So if you want a room with a view, I would not recommend room 402.
