The Formby Hotel was very inexpensive, quiet and convenient to the Spirit of Tasmania. It's an old hotel and the facilities show their age. However, the room was comfortable, the staff were very friendly, and I had a quiet, restful sleep after a tortuous Bass Strait Crossing. I was perfectly happy with my stay.

Hotel ideally situated for stopping overnight when arriving late on the ferry, rooms all upstairs but comfortable, a fair bit of noise especially from other guests talking loudly when heading to their rooms and when congregating in the common room.
