I stayed here this time last year and had the same room. Took a nice deep soak bath although it is a little short. Dining options are quite numerous within a decent distant distance. The host was really welcoming and made me feel at home. I was treated to a really nice continental breakfast after a great night's sleep.

Cosy countryside style accomodation

The staff are very friendly and we did enjoy the stay. The breakfast is fabulous. The bath tub inside the room is wonderful. The room size is very spacious.

Our stay at The George and Dragon.

We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst attending a family function and by chance cane across The George and Dragon. We are so glad we did! What a beautiful pub with bundles of character. Our room was gorgeous; modern yet rustic and equipped with everything to make our stay spot on! Staff were lovely and attentive, and breakfast was amazing. We were greeted by a spread of freshly baked croissants, jams, cereal and orange juice. We opted for a cooked breakfast which was again spot on. We would most definitely return and will recommend to any friends and family! Thank you to the tram for making our stay fabulous:)

Fantastic room and food but the best part was the incredibly friendly service from Sydney & Chippy. I would thoroughly recommend this absolute gem of a country pub.

No Dragons to slay here

We had a one night stay here as we were visiting relatives in the village. From our arrival to our departure everything was brilliant. The staff were very friendly and super efficient .Would recommend for a nice place to stay.

A lovely character stay but a few minor issues

A lovely welcoming traditional pub with rooms. The staff were great and dinner was delicious. Although the booking states breakfast included, be aware that is the continental element only and cooked food is charged extra. I personally didn’t mind but would have been a little disappointed if I planned to have a full breakfast. The room was lovely but the shower was only just warm and the pressure was poor. Again, I’m used to hit & miss facilities but had my wife been staying, she wouldn’t have been best pleased.

Definitely not 4 stars

We had a very friendly and welcoming check in, but the room and amenities were very much not up to expectations. The “private” bathroom is not an en suite, but rather you have to go down the hallway. The carpet was dirty and old, and my partner got bitten by some sort of bug that has made the bed its home. The rooms are just above the pub kitchen so everything smells of cooked fat.
