Room had a bit of a cigarette smell to it and one of the lamps didn’t work, but for cheap accommodation in Detroit, we were very pleased. The staff were incredible too!! Had us in stitches over breakfast chatting on both mornings. Recommend this place

The staff was awesome, super helpful, and friendly. The common/breakfast area was very nice and clean. The bedroom was extremely run-down and in need of renovations. The room was dirty in a lot of areas, but the bed and bathroom were very clean. Considering price, it was not a terrible experience.

Staff was terrific. Check in was smooth. Did not know it was a motel style room situation. I don’t like outside entrance rooms. Somewhat questionable area. Very old and dated. Bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Didn’t brave the breakfast. Did I mention run down? Outside hallway doors did not lock, zero security. Expensive for the level of quality.

​Don't let the edited Expedia photos fool you; this hotel is incredibly low-class and trashy. ​The issues started before we even walked inside. The parking lot is absolutely covered in trash and filled with massive, car-damaging potholes. Once inside, the stairwells smelled strongly of urine. To top it off, we had a mixed experience with the staff—one shuttle driver was a total jerk, the midnight parking lot security employee was asleep in his truck. ​The only saving grace was room 254 itself. It was very large and uniquely equipped with two refrigerators and two A/C units. It also appeared clean and was well-stocked with plenty of linens. However, actually sleeping was a challenge because the bed had a huge dip right in the middle of it. ​Overall, the room size doesn't make up for how run-down and neglected the property is. I will not be staying here again.
