“The staff were friendly and helpful, the reception was clean and safe and the room looked good. Unfortunately the en suite was of poor quality and had spiderwebs and dirt everywhere, a load of pubes and splash stains over the toilet, obviously meaning it hasnt been cleaned for a while, let alone up to the "covid safe" state required. Couldn't do anything about it as we didnt get to see it properly until the next morning. The mattress also felt like it was at the end of its life. It was a spring...

“If you can look past the area that the 'George Hotel' is in then you have a beautiful old building with a very interesting history behind it. Yes the property could do with some investment and renovation, but the building inside was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff were all very friendly. In its hayday this would have been a wonderful building”
