Raise your hand if you – like me – would never have guessed that this is… Greece! 🙋‍♀️ It was a steep but not too long hike up the mountains to get to Astraka refuge. We had great weather on the way up but it took a turn for the worse, so we dropped our stuff off in the refuge, had lunch, and waited. My legs were tired and I was so cold in the cabin so I really wasn’t feeling like getting out again to hike a bit more to get to Drakolimni/Dragon Lake but the skies cleared up again so I just couldn’t stay inside. And I was very happy I didn’t because the views were absolutely a m a z i n g. I mean I knew Greece is beautiful but I barely knew there are hikes to be done there, let alone with this kind of views. “Ein optisch sehr schönes Hotel. Macht seinen Sternen alle Ehre. Wir wollten ein Wellness-Wochenende verbringen. Der Spa-Bereich ist relativ klein, aber für einen Spa-Abend ausreichend (Preise sind für griechische Verhältnisse teuer). Tolles Frühstücksbuffet mit warmen, kalten, süßen und salzigen Speisen. Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war sauber und warm (für die kalten Nächte). Rundum ein schöner Aufenthalt!”

“The independent studios are well laid out with all the amenities included. Bed, Bathroom, and kitchen with stove all neatly arranged with even a washing machine and a clothes line in the balcony. Communication was excellent and responsive. Towels, soap, and shampoo was also provided, I recommend the place to someone who likes a stay away from the city traffic, yet need close access to shopping and dining with a 10 min walk.”
