“I travel to Oamaru a lot and somehow only just found Poshtel on Expedia. Easily the best hotel I’ve stayed in here. The room was spotless, comfortable and full of character, quirky vintage and steampunk touches that actually feel like Oamaru. Everything was clean, well thought out and a real step up from the usual places I stay. Staff were friendly, helpful and made check-in easy. Breakfast was excellent too, proper continental spread with fresh fruit, pastries and local Whitestone cheese....

“Owner really rude and aggressive, knocking on the door at 10.00 asking us to leave. Not 10.10 or 10.01. It seem he was waiting at the door looking at his watch. After I said ok, and even when he could see that my baby was half dressed, he knocked again 30 seconds later. In two months in New Zealand staying at different places I have never experienced such horrible behavior. ”
