It has been a dream to see the Baobab trees of Madagascar. While these in Senegal are not as grand or tall, still felt a flurry in my heart seeing, touching and exploring an actual Baobab 🥰

The cavities within the tree trunks of old baobabs are as large as rooms and people use them as shrines, altars, and tombs as well as roadside kiosks and workshops. Due to their size and longevity (a Baobab is at least a few thousand years), baobabs are important landmarks in Senegal’s dry savanna plain. In ancient times these giant trees were even used as a border marking between states. #baobab #senegal

"In August we booked for a 3 night stay in November as part of our honeymoon tour of SEnegal. We booked and paid for a superior double bungalow. On arrival they had no record of our booking but I was able to verify booking by showing my booking details and receipt on my phone. They told us that we could have the booked room for one night only as it was booked for someone else for the second two nights. They offered us a basic cabin and this is what we accepted as we did not want to take the room...

Ne faites pas de réservations sur hotels.com pour cet hôtel au risque de repayer une seconde fois. c'est ce qui m'est arrivé avec le gérant qui me dis ne jamais entendre parler d'hotels.com et pourtant l’hôtel est proposé sur le site. J'ai du repayer une 2e fois mon séjour. Fenetre forcée lors de notre séjour et vol d'argent dans la chambre. La clim est en option, la chambre laisse à désirer, bref à fuir. Par contre le responsable des employés M. Fall est super sympa et sérieux."
